Description
The Odeon was built in 161 AD, on famous orator Herodes Atticus expense. In its original form, the odeon’s ceiling was made of cedar wood. It was only in the 1950s that the edifice resolved into its present form. The Roman Odeon of Herodes Atticus is among the few world’s ancient theatres that still hosts art performances.
