Description
Nikos Kazantzakis, perhaps the greatest contemporary Greek writer, chose Aegina as a place for solitude and contemplation during his countless travels around the globe. He bought a remote piece of land overlooking the sea in which he built his house. He intermittently lived there for almost two decades, creating a substantial part of his work.
